Cup Format
REGULATIONS
- Fixtures & Time schedule (TBC after the draw).
- FIFA rules, regulations and standards will apply to the cup format in conjunction with the rules and regulations listed below.
- Player Registration: Players born in 2008 and up to 6 players born in 2007 are eligible for registration in the 7s tournament.
- Out of the six players born in 2007 only three players can be fielded or play at the same time in any given game.
- Maximum registration of 12 players per team.
- There will be 4 groups of 4 teams.
PLAYER VERIFICATION & GAME SHEETS
- All players registered to play in the cup must have a passport identification or other government official identification present on the day before the cup for official player verification checks to be executed.
- The coaching staff must provide the designated personal executing player verification with a registration list of all players and coaches participating in the cup (Registration Sheet will be provided prior to the commencement of the cup).
- All players must wear the jersey with the jersey number registered on the registration sheet. Players are not allowed to change jerseys throughout the cup.
FIELD DIMENSIONS
RULES
- Playing time 2 x 15 mins, semi and final 2 x 20 mins.
- All matches will be officiated by referees appointed by the UAE Football Association.
- No Kick-off, players sprint to the ball in the middle from the goal line.
- Player entering the field before substituted player is off the field or not in designated area results in a free kick for the other team.
- Ball out of play - throw-in or kick or dribble into play.
- No offside.
- All free kicks are direct.
- Red card - player ruled out for the next game.
- Point system - 3 points for a win with 1 or 2 goals difference and 6 points for a win by 3 goals or more difference, 1 point for a draw and 0 point for a loss.
- Size 5 football to be used.
- 1 referee and 1 substitute assistant referee per match.
- Open substitution in designated area with designated assistant referee.
- A substitute player born in 2007 may only replace another player born in 2007.
- Goalkeeper can resume play immediately after a goal is scored, no kick-off.
- Corner - kick or dribble into play but the ball must lay still before resuming play from the designated corner area.
- Free kick no need to wait for referee to whistle, however the ball must lay still before resuming play, except if otherwise decided by the referee.
- Yellow card – player gets - 2 minute none playing time penalty.
- Goal scored by goalkeeper counts double.

The 7 vs 7 format is designed to evaluate players under constant pressure and in 1 vs 1 situations, highlighting their technical skills and ability to make fast, accurate decisions. This format ensures a comprehensive view of the players’ talents from all perspectives.
